New York City

This series was made during my time in New York City using an old USSR Lubitel camera. Working with this camera slowed everything down. Each image had to be considered, framed from above, and taken with care.

In a city that moves constantly, this created a different way of seeing. Moments felt more deliberate, more isolated from the rush around them. The imperfections of the camera, light leaks, softness, unpredictability, became part of the work.

The photographs are not about the city itself, but about how it felt to move through it slowly, holding on to small, quiet moments within it.
